Eight paintings by Vincent van Gogh, including the famous Almond Tree in Blossom (1888), will be presented at Rijksmuseum's branch at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol from 9 April to 7 July 2008 in an exhibition entitled Vincent van Gogh: Nature Close-Up. All the paintings have been provided by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The show highlights how Vincent van Gogh took his own remarkable approach to nature, by effectively zooming in on his subject. The presentation can be seen at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (airside area, between piers E and F) and offers a unique opportunity for passengers at the airport to view the artist's work away from the Van Gogh Museum.

It is the most complete existing collection focused on the history of the school and all aspects of its work and is accessible to all. The collection is housed in a building drafted byWalter Gropius, the founder of the school.

Current Exhibition
A window on the fantastical world of Luigi Colani, this exhibition brings together Colani's extraordinary large scale prototype designs including trucks, aircraft and cars. A great maverick of 20th Century design, with a career spanning almost six decades, Colani has applied his organic design style to produce biodynamic cars, boats, planes, ceramics and consumer goods, as well as creating alternative futuristic concepts for transport and architecture. A powerful influence on contemporary designers such as Ross Lovegrove and Future Systems, this retrospective of Colani's work is curated by Albrecht Bangert and designed by Nigel Coates.
